The pew church

This week's church was near our house. This is good, because we do a fair amount of commuting, so it's nice to not have to go too far (especially if the place is lame) for a short time. That also leaves us time for drive-thru coffee on the way. I suppose compared to Fairbanks, any amount of commuting is 'fair'. This place had pews AND drums. It's like the complete package. First song they sang: "How Great Thou Art". This is probably one of my favorite hymns, so it kind of made the place feel a bit more familiar. We like the people. They have lots of groups to get connected with, and plenty of opportunities to serve. They have a few men's groups, which is not super common, so that's nice. We'll check out another place next week, and put this one on the "maybe" list.

Sounds like the pew church is a keeper! Close to home, pews (uggg) drums, men's groups!!! AND if they sing my favorite, and my daddy's favorite, "How Great Thou Art" it seems like a match made in heaven! I am so glad you are smiling though this whole experience. God has your each and every moment under the protection of his loving care. Love you!!
