Gateway to the West

To take a break from the unpacking, we took the opportunity to visit the Gateway Arch. Seemed like a good thing to do while we can still safely say that we're not "from here". For you history junkies, there's lots of neat information here.

drive-by street view of Busch stadium--down low!

the path and park leading to the arch are BEAUTIFUL!

So amazing! Gorgeous.
A must see.

This picture is mostly so that Mom Henry knows we're thinking of her!
Can you see the little wedding 600+ feet below at the
Old Courthouse?

Remember that street view of the stadium? Here it is again, from up high!

So, that's the extent of touristy stuff for this week. Tim's first week on the job is going great. He's met a lot of people and is enjoying it. It's a reasonable commute to a good part of downtown. On his way to work, he passes by the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. It smells like yeast & hops n' stuff. The commute is sometimes extended if he has to yield to the Clydesdales...
The unpacking continues. We're trying to give away our boxes on craigslist.org, but due to the inclement weather, (and current tornado warning), we might have to hang on to them for a few more days.

Wow! You two are really making the rounds! To see life cruising by from the top of the arch, that's waaay cool! Glad you are thinking of me from up there...can you believe it, I went to the top of the arch lotsa years ago. Hope the job search goes well, you are in my prayers.
