We're enjoying the fall here in St. Louis. There's lots to do, lots to see, and life is getting more interesting as we're making friends. This past weekend, we went skating, drove out to Eckert's farm, watched a football game with some new friends, and made apple butter--more on that later.
At Eckert's Farm (and country store, and restaurant), you can make memories, pick your own in-season produce, sample wine, cheese, and fresh apple cider, and enjoy a tractor ride to the perfect pickin' spot. You can even make your own scare-a-crow this time of year!
The tractor fella drove us to section of the orchard with the Fuji apples, and we could pick from a number of rows. It was fun to pick our own, and even better to sample one along the way.
Tim- the apple picker.
We got our pumpkin from around this area. Jack-o-lantern pics to follow
Needless to say, I did NOT ask for them to take our picture, and we tried to catch a separate tractor for the ride back. oops. It's always nice to help someone else make a memory. What's the etiquette here? Blank check? Multiple apologies? Hopefully apology accepted. Sorry girls.
