Lesson learned

The importance of planning ahead.

I've been working on a little craft project/gift for months...putting it off because I wasn't sure exactly how to do it. The time came, so I had to just go for it; I decided to venture into the unknown, determined to figure it out as I went.

Cut the fabric, sew on the hand-cut letters, check the spacing, etc.

One last check before I sew the 2 sides together. Looks good to me...

I took the rest of the night off from working on it.

The next day, and a few deep breaths later, Tim helped me make sure it was right, before anymore sewing.

In Cod We Trust

It's time for Lent, which in St. Louis, means it's also time for Fish-Fry Fridays. In the basement of a local Catholic church, I got to enjoy my first fish fry with Ashleigh, baby Levi, and some former co-workers.

Faith and Ashleigh Do D.C. (and Chicago, and St. Louis)

Last weekend, Faith made a visit to D.C. where she and her dear friend Ashleigh, and baby Levi boarded a train and made their way to St. Louis, via Chicago.
